Quebec Junior Hockey League [1988-2017] history and statistics

QJAAAHL History

The Quebec Junior Hockey League is a Canadian Junior A hockey league that has operated from 1988. It was founded with the name Ligue de Hockey Junior AAA Quebec / Quebec Junior AAA Hockey League (LHJAAAQ / QJAAAHL), but starting with the 2014-15 season it shortened its name to the Ligue de Hockey Quebec / Quebec Junior Hockey League (LHJQ / QJHL). This change did not last long; on June 9, 2016, the league reverted back to the Quebec AAA Junior Hockey League identification.
