Russian Penguins Statistics and History
The Russian Penguins were a touring hockey team from Russia which played games against International Hockey League teams in the 1993-94 season. The team had no home arena. The Penguins were effectively the HC CSKA Moscow team from the Russian Championship league - Howard Baldwin, the owner of the Pittsburgh Penguins, purchased an interest in that team when it ran into financial trouble.
