The Saginaw Gears / Gaylord Grizzlies were a U.S. Junior A hockey team based in Saginaw, MI playing in the North American Hockey League from 1995 to 1996. The team played in the Saginaw Bay Ice Arena, and also the Otsego County Sportsplex in Gaylord. In December of 1995, the owners of the Gears, Pat Weir and Richard Darke, moved the team to Gaylord MI in order to find a larger fan base.
