Grant (Knobby) Warwick was one of the most popular players on the New York Rangers in the early post World War II era.

He then went on to lead the Penticton Vees to a controversial Allan Cup Championship with a victory over the Sudbury Wolves in a series that in retrospect challenged the effort of Sudbury goalie Al Milllar.

Penticton then went on to win the World Charmpionship with a victory over Russia.

An outstanding display of this triumph is included in the British Columbia Sports Hall of Fame in Vancouver.
