Hey Ralph. wregget31 here.

I'm once again having problems updating posts. I keep getting this message:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /usr/www/users/slater/vb/includes/functions.php on line 1507

Could we make the execution time longer? I have already divided my want list in two and that worked for a little while but now I guess I have out grown it. Please help.

Jeff, i haven't had any problems with updating my HUGE trade list
is this a recent problem?- i usually delete almost all (everything but the price list etc at the top )and add the updated card list from my excel file that way i'm not making multiple changes on the post itself so time is not an issue

I had this problem last year when my trade and want list combined got too big and I started to get that error message. Now I can't even keep 2 want lists and a trade list. I had to now go to 3 want lists. I know it's rediculous to say the least. I have a cable modem so it shouldn't take that long to update from a connection standpoint. I'm just hoping Ralph can adjust the Db settings to allow more time for his site to compute an updated post. It says in the error message "30 second execution time exceeded" or something like that. can it be extended to one minute? I apologise to all who try to follow the rules of refreshing and combinding posts. I hope this can be resolved ASAP.

i tried editing from the db list and had no problem( three diff changes)
my 83 page list edits just fine - for big changes i edit off line as i hate diggng thru the whole list then readd the edited version

It doesn't matter if I make changes off site and post them all at once or edit one change at a time. The fact is if it isn't a smaller list, it isn't going to take. I don't know what else to do.
