new ot rules suck

I think the shoot out sucks. There should be only a 10 min ot and tie games.

Couldn't agree more. I hate the shootout too. It totally ruins the excitement of a penalty shot, and I just pray they don't do this during the playoffs. The whole idea of playoff overtime hockey is to be suspensfull. A shootout would just totally ruin that aspect. Even though I am happy to have hockey back, I must admit that a lot of these new rules totally suck!!

the shootout is the best thing to happen to hockey since decreasing the goal crease size...only some bonehead wants to see ties in sports...there's nothing more worthless than 5-minute ot's.

the shootout makes a tie worth watching, now.

also, they don't use shootouts in playoffs...it's regular season only.
