Last night I attended an alumni game and I got my higherst autograph total ever. The game was at the Bell Center in Montreal, 13000 people showed up, the Habs won 9-6! 26 different players! It could have been longer but the players were constantly reminded to sign only 1 autograph per person. The only one I managed to sneak more than 1 from was Ray Bourque!

Donald Audette
Bob Beers
Ray Bourque (the best defenseman to ever play the game)
Andy Brickley
Marc Bureau (never a fan of his, until i met him yesterday, great guy!)
Enrico Ciccone
Shayne Corson (my favorite hab as a kid, was not allowed to take a photo with him... stupid bell center rules)
Eric Desjardins
Ted Donato
Tom Fitzgerald
Steve Kasper
Guy Lafleur (always a class act)
Yvon Lambert
Rod Langway
Steve Leach
Claude Lemieux (seemed as if he didn't want to be there)
Craig Ludwig
Rick Middleton
Sergio Momesso (We bonded, really great guy!)
Chris Nilan (he even posed for a photo with me!)
Terry O'Reilly
Stephane Quintal
Stephane Richer
Larry Robinson (complete class act, I have so much respect for this man!)
Don Sweeney
Tim Sweeney (signed in orange sharpie on a Flames jersey... oh well)

Wow there was alot of big names there! That is awesome. How was Bourque? He was always unfriendly in person back in the late 80's!

He seemed like a nice guy, he came out during intermission to sign a few autographs and he sat through the whole meet and greet session after the game, i guess he's softening up a little!

who did Nilan play for?

Nilan played for both: started and finished his career in Montreal, spent a couple seasons with Boston in between

Sorry to bust your bubble but Bourque not only wasn't the greatest defenseman to play the game he would be ranked no higher then 2nd and probably 3rd all time to play for the Bruins........
Guess you never heard of Eddie Shore and #4??????

Both Quintal and Nilan were playing with the Canadiens. PJ Stock was there as well, he played with the Bruins Alumni... had 4 really good scoring chances and missed them all!

I've just found these boards and what a wealth of information you all are! I often wondered what happened to Richer. What's the scoop on him? Is he living in Montreal these days? What does he do for a living now? Just curious.

Thanks for all the info I've gleaned from this website.

Last I heard from Stephane Richer, he was selling cars (not sure about that though) and he lives in northern Quebec.

Met him last week in a small northern ontario town, an absolute class act, verydown to earth and generally a nice guy! Enjoyed my time with him. Right now he owns a golf course in just north of Montreal

I know he has been given a bad rap by a lot of people, but I have heard that he is a really nice man. Lucky you! Thanks for the update.
