Does anyone have any tips on locating retired european players. Any tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I have found a few older Finnish players from the Finnish Hall Of Fame and a few through the British Hockey League. You can find their websites through Google. German and Russian players are a little harder to find but I have had success with 3 players when I sent cards to Russia. They are Sergei Varlamov, Vadim Epanchintsov, and Peter Skudra. When I sent them, I included a Self addressed envelope and 3 American dollars for return postage. I have thought about trying to contact Czech and Slovak players also. Let me know how you do. =]

With what address did you reach Vadim Epanchintsov?

I cannot find the paper that had the Russian addresses on it but I did find the teams email address. I am not sure that he still plays for them but here is their email: tatneft@ak-bars.ru.

Hey, on the subject of Russian players, how about Sergei Priakin. I was told months ago that he plays for an all-star team for a gasoline company out there, but I was never able to find an address on the internet, and it was hard to read Russian. Anyone have any idea? Thanks, Clarke
