I'm launching a new college hockey directory with the mission to make it the largest, most inclusive directory of active and former college hockey players on the Web.

The directory is different from HockeyDB.com in that its focus is on college hockey alumni (whether or not they went on to play professionally). In addition, The College Hockey Directory will accept anyone who ever played competitive college hockey (ACHA, CIS, NCAA, or NJCAA -- men and women).

If you're an active or former college hockey player, please help me make this the largest college hockey database on the Web by adding your information. There is absolutely no charge to be listed in, or to search, the directory.

The CollegeHockey.info Directory will officially be launched on August 1. Beginning on August 1, you'll be able to search the Internet's most inclusive directory of active and former college hockey players. Make sure your info is in it!

Hey man, good luck with your project. Sounds like a labor of love to me :)

Personally, I never found college hockey all that interesting...but mainly because my team, the UIC Flames of the CCHA, was disbanded in the mid-1990s...so I never had a college team to root for.

I look forward to seeing this invaluable resource that you are creating once it goes live.

Thanks! The Flames may be history, but you should really check out the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign's Fighting Illini hockey team (www.IlliniHockey.com). It's ACHA Division 1. Games are played in a great atmosphere in an on-campus arena that has sold-out practically every game since the 1950s. They play some pretty decent teams: Penn State (whose ACHA Division 1 team upset NCAA Division 1 Robert Morris University a year ago), Ohio University, Arizona (who itself plays at the mostly full 7,000-seat Tucson Convention Center), Iowa State, etc. Illinois won the ACHA national tournament a few years back, and makes regular trips to the final four. College hockey lives on at the University of Illinois!
