My most favorite ever hockey season in the American Hockey League was the 1991-92 season. This was when the Adirondack Red Wings have won their last of the four Calder Cups, 4 games to 3 against the St. John's Maple Leafs, outscoring them, 27-23. Game one was Wings 7, Leafs 4. Game two was Wings 6, Leafs 3, the first two in St. John's. At Glens Falls Civic Center, game three, Leafs 4, Wings 3. Game four, Leafs 4, Wings 1. Back at St. John's, game five, Wings 3, Leafs 1. At Glens Falls, game six, Leafs 5, Wings 2. Back at St. John's for game seven, Wings 5, Leafs 2.
Before the Calder Cup Finals, the Red Wings have knocked off the New Haven Nighthawks in five games, the Springfield Indians in four games, and the Rochester Americans in all three games.
Before the playoffs began, the Wings had some ups and downs during the regular season.
