Well, I am at that point in my collection that the only players autographs that I want or need are the ones I know that I can't get without buying. Ebay will be my first stop I guess.

Gilmour signs through the Maple Leafs. I've had several signed in the last year or so for free.

I wrote to Gilmour probably in November of last year and got a package back (c/o Maple Leafs) about a few weeks in to January.

I am in the process of getting Lanny's autograph (1 8x10 and 2 cards) through the Flames Alumni. I will let you know what happens. Otherwise, I also might have an extra Lanny card. Have you tried www.autograph-cards.com? They charge outrageous prices on star players, but if they're hard to get, sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. I prefer to wait it out on eBay most of the time.

For the players that you know you can't get through the mail or for that jersey or large photo you want signed i have gone through the following companies:

I have taken part in many signings through these places. I only collect Oiler autographs but they bring in a wide variety of players from all teams past and present. Ones that i have gottten through these places include: Kurri, Ranford, Anderson, Fuhr, Coffey, Joseph, Smyth, Roloson, Semenko, Stoll, Torres, Pronger and others.

As far as I know none of these guys sign though the mail.
Gilmour seems to be the exception ... I guess I am just unlucky with him.

Thank you for the heads up. Yes, I was informed a few months ago about Lanny not signing TTM anymore. However, I'm putting my faith in a person "on the inside." Jim Peplinski's secretary (for the Flames Alumni) said she sees him in the office all the time and said she do her best to hook me up with a few autos. I sent the package out Friday... I will let everyone know how it goes. If he still won't sign than he's freakin impossible. If he does, I will help you guys out however I can.

Just got my 8x10 back in the mail today. The cards (2) should come tomorrow as well. I went through the Calgary Flames alumni, however, one of the secretaries there has been helping me with this project of mine for quite some time now. She made sure Lanny autographed them for me.
