I have an autographed card from Lemieux already, but it's a very poor signature.
I got excited to see all of you having recent success, so I sent off another card to the posted address. Yesterday I received my letter back with my card unsigned and a generic note saying that my request could not be completed as Mario gets so much mail. I guess I should be happy with the one I have. Just thought I would give anyone a heads up in case they were getting their hopes up!

I got the same note back last week. On another site I check regularly there have been a lot of people reporting the same.

Jow long after you mailed your letters did it take to get the response back from him with the form letter?

I mailed him in August and got my card returned signed but my cousin mailed in September and go the letter. I hope he isn't sick again, he was at the Winter Classic in Buffalo and a local tv station reporter mention about how bad he looked. I hope his cancer isn't back plus he has heart problems.

I saw him last October when he travelled with the Pens on a road trp into Toronto. He was walking the town with his good buddy Tie Domi and I ran into him by accident as the two of them were exiting an apartment building and I just walked out of Subway Sandwitches. He was well enough to tell me "get lost", when I politly asked him for an autograph. Everytime he hangs out with Tie Domi, he becomes a prick.

Mario has no personality never has never will it's just not when he is with Domi.

wow he actually said "get lost"? sidney crosby told me "not now" his rookie year for no apparent reason and kept walking. i've gotten "maybe later" "sorry im in a hurry" but for someone to say "get lost", thats about as disrespectful as it gets. I never knew Mario was like that, though it kinda doesnt surpise me. Some of these players seem to think their holier than thou.
Kinda makes you not even want their autograph that much.

sid was awful in vancouver. signed only when the news cameras were on him and only where the media directed him to sign, they had chosen six kids and placed them near the team bus.

i went to tampa last year when the pens were in town. crosby pretty much only signed once, and only about 3 people got him, as he walked from some plae to the hotel. i was lucky enough to get him at the hotel. i was staying at the same one as the pens, and i heard they were on the tenth floor, so right before i was going to call it a day for autographs, i just went up to see if anyone was in the halls, just in case. as soon as i got out of the elavter, none other the sid the kid himself walks by, with colby armstrong, and i asked him to sign my pens sign, as he was extremly nice about it
