This is probably an odd question....

But I am looking to start a collection that is slightly different.....I want to get blank white "cue cards" signed, and have them displayed underneath an 8x10 (framed, matted).

It seems that EVERYONE sends a hockey card. Will I just get a "what the hell" from players, or do you think I will have success?

Im new to all this, and really did not know so many players did this.

Glad I stumbled on these forums.

Index cards are no problem. I have sent 100s of them asking retired players for their autos. If anything, you may get better results because the player will feel less tempted to keep the card(s) that you send.

i found players are more receptive to signing index cards if you customize them (add names etc.) Good luck!

Don't mail a blank card to Grant Ledyard. He won't sign them. He told me that somebody used it to fordge a cheque.

Most of the time, I send cards. However, for player which I cannot find a card, I send Avery Label #6878. It is 4 3/4 by 3 3/4. That way, I can
"cut & paste" a picture, have him sign it, and mount it on cardboard.
It works great for me.
