Wondering if anyone out there has any thing of Probert or Joe Kocur's early years (junior etc.). I do have Probert's Soo Greyhound card. I am not sure if there is any cards out there of Probert from 1981 when he was with Brantford Alexanders. If you can help me out feel free to email me. Thanks

I'm looking for either Kocur or Probert NHL Rookie cards. Everything I have found online claim to be "rookie". But, they're not.

Proberts rookie season was 85-86. Any card manufactured around that time would be a rookie card.

According to the Hockey Beckett guide Bob Probert has 2 rookie cards :
1988-89 Topps & OPeeChee both are card #181. The Topps was Double Printed meaning it was plentiful, in comparison to the OPC one.

He did have a card with the Brantford Alexanders 1983-84 #3

Again-if he came into the league in 85-86, then a 1988-89 Topps or any other brand -logically-wouldn't be a rookie card.

A rookie card is determined by the first year that an NHL-licensed card company produces a card of the player. So even though Probert may have come into the NHL a couple seasons earlier, his official rookie card year isn't until 1988-89 (as a previous poster mentioned) which is when both Topps and OPC made their first cards of him.

To the OP, these are Probert's only early Junior/Oddball cards known to collectors before his NHL RC season:
1983-84 Brantford Alexanders Bob Probert 3
1984-85 Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds Bob Probert 18
1987-88 Red Wings Little Caesars Bob Probert 24
