you seem to know the hhof signers well so i was wondering who i should send out to next. I have already out lindsay, bouchard, lach, moore, olmstead and am going to be sending out tomorrow fern flaman and milt schmidt. Who do you think i should target next?

I think Dick Duff is a pretty good signer, as is Bill Barber, Emile Francis, Al Arbour, Glen Sather, Murray Costello, Henri Richard, Dave Keon, Guy LeFleur, Bob Gainey, and maybe even Bernie Parent. Hit some of the refs like Frank Udvari, Bill Chadwick, and Andy Van Hellemond--not sure if he's still signing, though. Try Harry Sinden, too. If I'm wrong, somebody please correct me and help Scottys 5 out.

I have had a request out to Al Arbour since Jan 2008 & no return...have seen a bunch of other requests with him also this year with no results.

lindsay doesn't even look at what stamps are on your envelope or care how pretty they are, that's your postal workers job. relax already.

I know this may seem like a stupid question, (and it is related to this thread)but when you send to a player ot the HHOF (in Canada, obviously) and you believe that the player lives in the US, do you include a US stamp on the SASE, or keep it Canadian?

When I have doubt about what country the player may reside, I have thrown in a couple U.S. dollars. In the letter I will explain that the money is for return postage because I didn't have enough stamps for the SASE. Seems to work well for me.

I echo foilup's remarks. It has always worked for me when I send a few bucks (US cash) to cover postage. When I sent to Dave Keon I apparently sent more than I needed to because he sent back change, as well as the postal receipt!
Talk about a class act!!

Yeah, great call. Thanks for the reply. It would suck actually getting your stuff to the player, but not getting it back on a small technicality.

Cheers.

I'm in Canada and every time I send to the US I put in a dollar bill for a regular letter. I always say that the funds are for return postage. Sometimes I'll get the bill back with the signed cards. I do the same for oversees but put in two bucks. I just got back cards from Daigle in Swiss and he even returned the bills. I find it a lot easier to go to the bank and get one dollar US bills than fussing about getting stamps. Its faster too.

Hey Scottsy, you're going to have enough posts in a few months to be classed as a veteran.
