Daniel Paille 1/1 in about 4 months c/o Sabres. Decent sig but he returned card minus plastic holder causing it to get bent/creased.

Sandis Ozolinsh 4/4 in about 4.5 months from 701 Golf Club Dr, Castle Rock CO. Nice sigs and put correct number on them.

Paul Masnick 1/1 in about 2 weeks from 303 155 Hillcrest Ave, Cooksville ON. Signed in pen but came out nice.

I don't use plastic holders (I'm told players don't like that), but I do use a makeshift protector (basically a thick cardboard sleeve) that provides easy removal.

I always ask that they send back the card in that... on a few occasions players didn't, most recently Jim Corsi, but I've been pretty lucky... no damage on any cards.


Dave Dryden actually responded to my homemade protectors, and basically the whole package I put together... his note: "You are very well organized Marc, Great Job!"

I compared the sig with what was on Frozen Pond. They had a signing with him not long ago. I also check out e-bay for cards that are signed from Upper Deck etc. With respect to Modano, they are distinct differences in the Ms and the space between the d and a. Based on what I have read here, I would attrubute the difference to mom.

I get my logo pics from this site. http://www.sportslogos.net/sport.php?id=1 It has everything relating to sports teams. You can cut and paste the pic to a word doc file and then print it out on photo paper.

Just keep in mind that the Fronts didn't make the playoffs. The staff may still be around but the kids are likely gone. It's worth a shot but they may not be able to round up the kids for you.

Walter Gretzky. Signed my item and insisted on giving out his signed pad sized papers. Wrote one out for each of my three kids and my wife. He was so good with all the people that came to him.

Ron Ellis. Another great signer. Also signed my item plus he brought a poster from the HHOF which he eagerly signed. Nobody was refused.

Gino Reda was also present and he too was signing. The three of these guys were awesome.

I got back from Toskala yesterday. Took 14 months (send March of last year). What was great is that I had sent him 2 cards, both pictured with the Sharks. Not only did he sign those cards but included a signed Hot Prospects card of himself with the Leafs as well. I guess he wanted me to have a Leafs card too.

Yes, this was my 2nd success with him. The first time he signed his 8X10 Studio Portrait of him as a Bruin. The 2nd time he signed a 5X7 Beehive of him as a Bruin. Just dont send to many cards and be patient. The first one took around a year.

With respect to providing postal codes. I dont put them down for two reasons. First, after what happened to Kevin, I dont want to make it to easy for a certain person to just cut and paste. This way a little leg work will be required. Second, once you have the name and addy, all you have to do is go to 411 or postal code look ups to get it. Keeping them seems redundant to me.
