Allan Stewart - Devils Enforcer?

Hey Guys

Here's a tough one...Allan Stewart who was a goon with the Devils Utica/NJ back in the late 80s. Any ideas where he can be? I heard several years ago that one day he quit hockey and upped and became a monk. He also supposedly had bipolar disorder. Has anyone else ever heard this?

I heard this too. It was in the hockey news a few years ago.

He quit playing hockey because he injured his knee and was going to be a minor league for the rest of his career so he quit for good. He hardly ever played in the NHL anyways. But isn't it ironic though that if the story about becoming a monk is true that the last minor league team he played for was the MONCton Hawks. Found that interesting.
