Anybody try John Tavares in London yet? I have a contact there and said it will get signed, I have heard otherwise as well.

I think Tavares would sign it through London. I have never seen a non-return from Tavares yet, although none were through London. I have had some succusses with coaches through them so I can't see why players would be different.

I had success with Tavares this year, but through Oshawa not London. I would think he would continue to be a good signer there. I did get Del Zotto through London recently.

I'd try him before he gets drafted. Many guys (AKA Stamkos) stop being TTM friendly, after being drafted high.

He also used his own large envelope and paid postage to include 6 other unsigned items including an 8x10 sized black and white Canadiens team picture with him in back row center. Kinda cool he's in the picture even though he only played one game with the Canadiens. Other's in the picture include Maurice Richard, Elmer Lach and Emile Bouchard. Other items include a newpaper article about the Montreal Royals, a photo of him with the Rocket, another of him with Galbraith and Doug Harvey with the Royals and a program cover with him on the front in a Royals uniform. One last thing included was a "Thank You" card signed by him but written by a woman named Mrs. Sandra Geerts. This is what the Thank you card says.

"Enclosed are a few copies of Ernie's newspaper clippings. We are sorry it took so long to return your request. Ernie turned 93 in June and his eyesight is failing him. He has asked me to help him with these requests.

A class act in my opinion. Even at 93 with failing eyes he still won't turn down a request. Thank you very much Mr. Laforce.

Actually I sent four cards and offered to him to keep what he wanted and he sent back all four signed. The cards represented four different teams he played for so that's probably why he didn't mind signing the four for me. I doubt this is the reason why he now refuses. More than likely he just discovered how some people place them on e-bay to make a profit. This seems to be the most common reason as to why players stop signing. They don't want people making profit off of other people with their autographs.
