Look under the thread "Success Since April 23/2008". That's the master list he refers to and has a buttload of addresses listed there. Great job on that list, by the way. Keep up the good work and excellent job with the Vilgrain find.

Hi Kevin,

I see you got Jeff Carter. Was it the real thing or an autopen ? I've tried to get his 4 or 5 times, I even sent to his parents house. No luck. The Flyers front office sent back my photo with a fake autographed picture earlier this year. They were so kind that they put the picture of Antero Niittymaki in the same envelope (unsigned) that I had sent him.
I get sick of these teams that have someone screening their mail. If guys don't want to sign that is their business, but shouldn't they get their stuff and make the decision themselves ?

Sorry to go on like this but.....

Neil

Totaly agree with you. I hate it when teams dont give fan mail to the players. Like the Rangers, Flyers, Devils and Avalanche especialy. Coaching staff and front office for all these teams respond to fan mail but not the players? What gives. But what I find the most pathetic is the Houston Aeros of the AHL wich dont accept fan mail at all. I'm sure they get tons and tons of mail and cant possibly handle all of it. Wish more teams could be like CBJ, best team for responses in my opinion.

Sadly a ..like you said a team photo copy..did not post as a success only because I don"t consider it one...as for those enjoy Avs hockey letters ??? I"am tempted to send the stupid sticker and letter back with a note telling them that it is now the last game that I will watch when theres usually 5-6 to pick from...I agree,,leave it to the player...if he dosn"t want to sign ..send the stuff back...As for the Avs mgmt or whoever made the decision to do the mail the way they do...I feel that they give both the player & team a bad name..we pay their salaries ..I don"t know who they think they are ?? ..but we all know that there are many better a player ( HOF ers etc ) than on there rooster who have treated all of us respectfully in the past !!! Don"t know what more to say other than Avs hockey is one thing I refuse to watch !!!

I completely understand the frustration, but isn't it really the players who should get the blame here?

The teams put in place an efficient way to handle fan mail of those players who don't wish to receive their mail. The players have the option to opt out of the program, but they don't.

While I don't write to the team or players that send out pre-signed or facsimile signed items, I appreciate that some teams/players do something rather then tossing it all out (Devils). If my 8 year olds son is pumped about receiving a preprint and a team sticker from Paul Stastny, rather then never seeing any reply, then I'm ok with it.

It may just be the decision of the particular player. I know alot of the Flyers suck, but Briere and Hartnell are usually really good. It may just be that someone from the team is taking the initiative to mail people back something, knowing full well that some players aren't going to sign.
