I'm new around here, but a longtime veteran to the hobby. I've been around SCN for a long time, but I love how active these boards are, so I thought I'd start posting.

Here's where I'll keep posting my successes as they come in.

Finding CWHL addresses are a bit of a pain.

Odd thing is that there are three rinks listed in Brampton, and the Thunder don't play out of any of them. I Googled the rink they do play at, Century Gardens, and used that address.

Ok, so we know Sjostrom was traded at last years trade deadline to the Rangers.

Today I received a Phoenix Coyotes envelope, and in it was a Mascot card, a 08-09 team schedule, two logo stickers, a form letter thanking me for my interest in the team, and at the bottom of the form letter, a hand written note that says "Also included are your autographed cards. We apologize for the delay. My three cards were included, all signed.

Now, what do you think happened. Did the team hang onto his fan mail, until the Rangers visited Phoenix? If this was the case then they would have been handling his mail. This success coresponds with several that have come back c/o the Rangers.

Yeah, I figured it was, and the letter they sent pointed it out. I still can't figure out why they sent the signed cards back, rather then just forwarding it to Sjostrom. Not that I'm complaining.

I have also sent some cards to Bob Crawford there a couple of times, but haven't gotten any back from him. I met him at a Quinnipiac College hockey game one time and Crawford told me to send to him c/o Clippers at the rink, and he would sign anything I sent, but nothing yet!

Here's my poor me, whine of the day.

I send the SASE with U.S. postage, Tokarski takes his mail home to Saskatchewan, is nice enough to add his own Canadian postage, and places it several inches below the U.S. Postage. Perfect right? Nope. Canada Post Marks off both sets of stamps as used, even though the American postage was not required.

Ghaaa...It's hard to justify not re-using unmarked stamps, when stuff like this happens.

Yes, I got the return, because Tokarski added his own postage. Canada Post marked off both the Canadian and U.S. postage.

A friend of mine is a Canada Post Security Inspector, and he says that their equipment can detect if stamps have been used, if they have been marked with ink.

alright, i normally get stamps that have been used, only way to get stamps of the usa and canada here in holland.

but i look first before i use them. if there is a tiny dot of ink i wont do it. or does it even detect it, if there isnt any visable ink on there.

i hope i dont miss out on to many returns that way.
