I wrote to him and Wally Stanowski between 1 and 2 months ago and I haven't received anything from them and i live like 40 miles away from Toronto. Do they charge $$$$$ for their autographs or something ? Thats the only thing other than possibly my mail being delivered to the wrong box because I can't imagine my letter would be lost when it only has to travel 40 or so miles...

It is strange because they have both been quite faithful in getting back to me and others i ahve read about. Maybe they are in Florida for the winter?

Had a success last week from Mr. Kelly at the Dunvegan address. 2/2. Took 5 days there and back.

got my 5 cards back from him today. took 10 days and he answered all of my questions.

Red Kelly has been one of the nicest and most consistent signers that I have seen. My guess if you didn't get your cards back is:
a) they got lost
b) he is away
c) he is ill

I am sure that he would sign them otherwise.

Did you have to send any money for him to sign, or does he sign for free ? Does he ever send extras, like signed photos or cards, or do you have to send items for him to sign? I'm going to write him again, since my last letter must have been lost. My uncle use to play with him in Detroit, so maybe he'll throw in some extras !

With Red Kelly I always send $5 just as an incentive.

Warren Godfrey. He played with Boston and Detroit in the 50s and 60s.

awesome! he played for the wings for quite some time. i would have loved to have gotten an auto from him before he passed.
