You know I just have to say something about how special Johnny Bower is. This man is 85 (or for all we know older) and he signed my 5 items and got them back to me in 8 days with the round trip being from Missouri to Canada and back.
He makes these retired clowns who won't sign look like _______ (you fill in the blank).
If a person doesn't want to sign I understand your feelings and can respect that but refuse it and send it back. I garon-tee those hucklebucks try and use the stamps for their own person mail beacause when Frank Robinson played thats what one teammate said.

He once when I was 13 signed after and alumni game in the buffet line!
He told me to plop my cards on his plate and he signed them as he waited.
I have had 3 successes with him over the years he's always been fast.

A class act all the way always in some way responded to my questions. Is the fee 5$ per item or request, I picked up a parkie reprint coin featuring him, as well as the missing link card featuring him as a ranger.

I sent him $10 for 6 items and got them back in under 2 weeks also. Never met him but he sounds like an extremely nice fellow.

I did meet Johnny Bower at a show many years (decades) ago, in Chicago. I was there specifically to get him to sign a HOF goalie stick. I walked into the show and started to browse the tables when I looked up at the guy standing next to me. It was Johnny Bower. He was looking over the stuff from various dealers and we struck up a conversation about the Original Six, some of the great players I had seen and he had played against, etc. I was thrilled by experience and have thought many times over about that day and whether anyone else of his stature would have walked through that show talking to a fan. What a great guy and a true friend of TTM collectors.
