In addition to a fat paycheck and their names engraved on the Stanley Cup, do members of the winning team get an "individual" trophy or ring to commemorate their victory?

In a gesture i thought was A-1. Last year Red Wing owner Mike Ilich bought rings for all the members of the fifties Red Wings Stanley Cup Champions.

Until Benny Woit (1953?)convinced some of his Detroit teammates to chip in and buy rings for themselves no one had done that and so most Red Wing players didn't have a ring.

I am not sure when it became a team thing to buy the players rings.

I heard Mr I. made and gave away about 50 of these rings. The rings look like the 2002 Champ's rings, except they're done in Platinum instead of gold and all diamonds instead of Rubies and diamonds.
What a great owner and person to be so kind to the oldtimers!!

Nobody does it better than Mr I. !

I once saw Serge Savard's individual mini Stanley Cups that were given to the winning players- they look like replica Stanley Cups, but about a foot tall
