Zetterberg via agent

Today to my surprise I got my card back from Mr.Zetterberg!
I couldn't believe it, it was signed!
I pull off the plastic sleeve and guess what?
HE SIGNED THE SLEEVE!
Why do these guys sometimes do that?? Is it to keep people from selling them?
I posted a thread about autograph smudging awhile ago and someone said don't send them in sleeves.
Wish I'd have heard that before this. No cards are ever being sent out in sleeves from now on.
Would Zetterberg have still signed my card had I just sent it without the sleeve or not??

I just recently got my 4x6 back from Zetterberg c/o his agent signed. Didn't put it in a sleeve and he still signed it.

i know you probably asked "Would Zetterberg have still signed my card had I just sent it without the sleeve or not??" rhetorically, but in case, wanted to let you know that yes, he signs the card/photo.

I know for a fact Z doesnt care about selling. I asked him myself. He just doesnt like when dealers try getting him to sign a bunch, which he thinks is greedy.
