Did they finally have it today? I sent a rookie card in for the January 12 signing, but I guess Messier likes to change the schedule and canceled 3 times since then. I am hoping he actually signed today.

It was $150 to get a card signed.

I've seen other private signings for Messier and it was 249 for a small item.

hopefully for those prices you will receive something better than his rushed M_ M__ when he did sign IP.

Must say I'm there with you.
I met him at Canucks trainning camp one year in Whistler...
Signed a card for me (not the 91-92 Score I need for my set as he only signed Canuck items) but only because I was with a women, my now ex.
The man was way less that pleasant for sure.
Those are pretty ridiculous prices huh.

I concur - he represents my worst experience with a hockey player (Barasso is not far behind). Oh well - he was the Oilers right? NOT!

The prices r brutal. And I hated to do it, but I am so close to finishing the set. IP Messier won't sign Oiler stuff anymore if he signs at all. and all I have left for the set is 4 Gretzky cards, Ing( who won't sign it.), and Krutov. That's it 6 cards to go. I will post a huge photo spread of the set soon.

Why won't Ing sign it? Have you asked him to sign the back of it?

The front of his jersey has no logo. Ing says the card was never licensed. I asked him to sign it in 1991 and he said no. He recently did a frozen pond signing and still didn't sign it. I sent the card to his business asking him to sign the back. In the meantime my workaround was to cut a 3x5 index card I have and paste it to the card.

You Should Think about cutting a sheet of sticky transparent paper found at any staples or bureau en gros depending on where you are. I've done it for a fiew players. Just need to peal the sticky sheet from the backing and stick it over the card. Wont even show.

Not bad a signature considering its Messier and his signature sucks..that leaves me with just (6) cards to get signed the 1990-91 Score American complete set signed..any help would be greatly appreciated..I will post pictures of the signed set to date soon..

Congrats on getting your Messiers back. Steiner is frustrating me a bit as they still haven't called me for my billing information. I called on Wednesday and the rep I talked to was waiting for paperwork, so I hope the wait isn't too much longer. Going to be POed if something went wrong in all of this.

I did request Blue Sharpie to be used. Steiner seems to be very accomadating. When I got the Kennedy signed IP during the 91/92 season he personalized it without me asking for it. He simply said what's your name. I see some on this board that have gotten him IP and he seems to personalize some. I recently sent him a letter asking him not to personalize the card. We will see if I get it back.

Finally received my Messier back in the mail. Happy with it, except I forgot to ask them not to put the sticker on the back of the card. Frozen Pond and AJ Sports World don't put stickers on cards, but I guess I should have made sure.

Looks really good. Funny about the sticker, I forgot that too. I actually don't mind it too much. They put it in an area on the back that didn't take away from the card. I am so glad to be done with him for the set. I got one IP in addition to the two from Steiner.
