The question is best hockey names, does not say about real hockey names. I see this kid who is a 12 year old pee wee in Winnipeg. His last name is Floppy, and he is a goalie.

The Hershey Bears once iced what was the most dangerous defence team of all time, Larry Zeidel and Howie Young. A teammate, who considers himself lucky to have survived practices with them told me that they referred to the two as Zorro and Sir Lancelot.

Bullwinkle stole my thunder, as my favourite *hockey* name is Corey Pecker.
In an interview with one of the commentators from the Score, in Toronto, she told a story about one night her co-workers at the station dared her to use the line "Pecker pokes it through the 5 hole" when doing the Junior highlights. She said just that and apparently they had to cut to commercial pretty quick.
Another suggestion for a good name, that I didn't see, Pat Jablonski. Whenever our goalie let in a soft goal in road hockey, he would be dubbed a Jablonski for the rest of the night. Good times......

Remember also Dallas Drake and Dallas Eakins. I also remember player named Scott Boston. Don't remember whether he played in NHL or not, but he was Tampa Bay's player in 1993.
About playing in right club, at least Finnish can think that Joffrey Lupul plays for right club (Anaheim Mighty Ducks)
Louie Duck is Lupu in Finnish, so only one letter missing.
More funny names:
Joe Dziedzic

In Jr.A hockey in the late 60's or early 70's there was a kid named Bob Channel. Everytime the Hamilton Jr. Redwings played he would be in the lineup. The commentator was Norm (someone). He was the voice of the JR. Redwings. He was on CHCH TV. He would always say and here is Channel 11. A pass to Channel 11. You get the picture. I think his career ended with a right hand from Denis Potvin of the Ottawa 67's.

I haven't read all of the posts, but somebody had to get Zarley Zalapski in there. What about Roman Hamrlik, Janni Niinima, Igor Ulanov, Bernie Ferderko, Jari Kurri, Tuomo Ruutu, Jyrki Lumme, Matias Timander, Jariomir Jagr, Joe Juneau, Oilie Jokinen, Blair Atcheynum, and Reinhard Divis.
I don't know if any of those are misspelled I was just pulling them out of my head.
Here's hoping to seeing some NHL hockey in 2005!

Jordin Tootoo
He wore # 22 in Brandon to bad he did'nt wear # 22 with the Predators..
ee.....
Greg Johnson already had 22, so Tootoo took 55 because "it looks like 22 in the mirror" (yes, he actually said that). Also, his birthday is February 2nd or 2/2, how great is that???
I think the greatest thing ever would be if Christian Backman changed his first name to Jarrett, then the Blues would have Barret Jackman and Jarrett Backman. It gets no better.

Or, does Wacey Wabbit happen instead? Pitty the poor announcer.

Gotta say that Zarley Zalapski, Darren Puppa, and Tony Twist are probably my all-time favorite names.
Ruslan Fedotenko is an okay one
And just about anyone who has ever suited up for Nashville (Bob Boughner, Drake Berehowsky, Jan Vopat, Blair Atcheynum, Pekka Rinne, etc.)
If only Garth Snow played for the Avalanche.
