Rob Woodward was a two sport athlete (hockey and football) when he was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks. He played four years of hockey at Michigan State before one with the Hamilton Canucks in 1993/94. He didn't play hockey for the next four years then returned for one season in Columbus and Indianapolis in 1998/99.
Does anyone know if he played football during his time away from the game? Did he play football when he was at Michigan State? He was the third rated tight end in the country coming out of high school and one of the fears of hockey scouts was that they would choose him and he would decided to play football instead. Anyone have any idea how it turned out? Thanks.
