Has anybody out there ever deal with Milt Byron through ebay? I saw one of his auctions for an autographed Randy Carlyle 199? Score card, his min. bid was $10.00 plus his ridiculous shipping rate of $5.50. I told him to give his head a shake and to just deal in jerseys. If you want to see his reply, email me. Not a good way to gain customers or have an attitude like his response.

If this is the guy that has "Byron's Hockey World"? I've dealt with him on ebay before, mine was a fair deal I thought. Possibly he has posted a consignment auction for someone else under his selling name. I only had the one auction with him and it went well. Maybe I just don't know what I'm talking about..never know, I might be thinking of some other guy all together.

I've deal with him in the past, but not for ages

sells a lot of way over priced game worn stuff, and is an expert in that field it seems. He's the daddy, and all the game worn minions go by his rules, i.e. if you want a jersey authenticated, it goes to him (a service for which he charges), no one else.

And yeah he is rude and obnoxious. Many people have had issues with his shipping fees. Maybe he has them so high because of the cost of his auctions. He must pay a fortune in fees due to the over the top starting prices he puts on his stuff (a lot of it junk).

I read this and it got me so curious I had to go look at what I actually purchased from him and how much I may have gotten screwed out of? The auction I won was 15 assorted cards and 10 stickers of Paul MacLean (Jets, Blues, Wings), the price $2, s&h $5. Paul autographed them all for me when he lived here and now he is the assistant coach for Annaheim. Did I do ok? I have no idea what they are worth, I'm not a card collector.

i gues things are worth what they are worth to the individual eh!

But $5 to post a few cards is a bit expensive.

I just been on Gameworn.net and read a typical post of his where he's calling a fellow forum member there (with not many posts, a newbie) derogatory names for no other reason than this member dared raise issues with him. And of couse his clique love it when he belittles new members: 'ah theres the Milt we love', they suck up to him as he's a big name in the hobby.

$5.00 for shipping for 15 cards is too much. I sent a gut 50 cards and it was only $2.50 to the states from Canada. If you want to see his reply to me as to what I told him about selling autographed cards email me, and I will send his reply. Anyways, did he write the book on jersey collecting? Anybody can shoot a puck at a jersey that is hanging on a wall and call it game worn.

You also don't realize he has alot of stuff he buys but cannot sell. I have several things I sold him jerseys, autos, etc. He still has them. His stuff maybe be overpriced. Like he would not give me what I paid for certain jerseys, but listed them for what I would hav ewanted. His explanation was it is gonna tak ea while to sell. And truth be told. He still has them.
So don't think he is trying to screw you. Like he told me, he is not making much out of selling on ebay.

I've dealt with him before and had no problems. It was actually more advice for a jersey I was buying on ebay than anything. When I did buy from him, he was the same way: not at all arrogant and was willing to help me with any questions that I had. Was some of his stuff overpriced (read: minor league jerseys)? Yes. But if you want it, you're gonna have to go through him and you will have to pay.

But like somebody else mentioned, when it comes to selling to him, I'll just say the price he offered for some of the items I suggested did not leave me impressed.

Overall, I think he's a good guy who is just looking out for himself when buying. In my book, there's nothing wrong with that.
