Hi folks , can anyone tell me where to find players (old) by the sweater number ? eg. #9

look in the media guides of each individual team. most of them list players alphabetically and by sweater number.

Doug Smail Winnipeg Jets 9 then switched to #12 when they retired Hull's 9. His number is also retired by the Chicacago Black Hawks, same thing with Gordie Howe. (Detroit & Hartford)

Another thing is go to the library and see if they have the 2004 N.H.L. guide. Or go to a book store with pen and paper and go through every team. Or just buy a copy.
