Is anybody elso out there getting sick of this Third Jersey crap? First of all, was there anything wrong with having one home jersey and one road jersey? I thought that made it much easier for people (who don't watch much hockey) to tell where the game was. Most importantly, most of them are ugly as all hell. Have you seen the Dallas jersey? It doesn't even use the team colors, it's red!? Why should our ticket prices be higher to pay for a bunch guys to get together and design a horrible looking, useless third jersey? Someone please explain their purpose to me, because I just don't get it.

It is a merchandizing thing to sell more stuff. Most are bad, I think the only one I like is the Ranger's. Can't stand Chicago's.

I don't think they're all bad. San Jose, Colorado, Los Angeles, NYR, and the Leafs I think all have ok looking third jerseys. I just think the concept of a third jersey is ridiculous. Besides, all of the teams I mentioned still have better home and road jerseys.

Are you guys talking of 3rds of the past or the new ones...or just in general? I personally love the new Ducks 3rd and the new Coyote and Wilds 3rds for 2003-2004. I like the looks of the new All Star game sweaters too. I like that there are so many hockey outfitters bringing back the retro look. I'd also like to throw my 2 cents worth in on the more tailored, fitted sweaters for us gals. YUK! Hockey sweaters are supposed to be big. They are supposed to be baggy! Ladies....They are for men! Thats why we love to wear them! We love to be in mens athletic clothing...preferrably with the man still in them, but .....I digress. We have fought for years to be able to go out in public and be accepted in a pair of big baggy sweat pants and baseball jersey hangin off of us. Have you forgotten the dress and hat and white glove days? Hockey games are the one place I can go enjoy myself and get away with wearing my favorite old pair of faded blues and the largest hockey sweater I can find....a cap (so I dont need to do my hair, no makeup either) and a comfy worn in pair of sneakers. And you know what? I look great! So please whoever the !@#$%&* feminists are that are working for these merchandisers.......will you please leave my hockey watchin clothes alone, and just go back to designing fashions for something more vogue than hockey!

Sorry peeps! Got off on a bit of a rant there didnt I. I'm just saying that those curvy new fitted jerseys for us women folk are just a little too sexy for hockey. Well......I guess they must be marketing to that puckbunny demographic somewhere between 18-50 eh? You know.......the ones that are there to distract the players....basically to distract anyone. They will be the ones to spend their bling for the slender, tight fitting, girly jerseys. I'm gonna stick with my big baggy man jerseys thank you!

Haha, good one. They do remind me a bit of the Red Army. I guess if you're really into red they look good, but frankly, I think they suck.

Atlanta Thrashers' Blue Jersey is the only one I really like.
Minnesotas' si bringing back heritage ( see Cleveland Barons)
qith the same type of design, aswell as the early Chicago BlackHawks. It is a vintage year, and the leafs, canucks, etc.
are all bringing back their old uniforms.
