Eric Nesterenko did some type of movie about hockey. Sorry I can't remember the title. I just rember the casting call.

Jacques Demers was the bench coach when Pat Stapleton was the head coach of the Cougars when they went to the finals. Demers went on to coach in the NHL. St louis, Detroit are some of the NHL teams that he coached.

But I am looking for the oldest player, and the youngest player to ever play for the Cougars. Whatever happened to the team's first Captain? Larry "Hank" Cahan, where is he now. Also, what ever happened to Bobby Whitlock?? Bobby was only 16 and had the #16 jersey. He played during the first year of the WHA, before Gretzky.. mail response to DIGTV@YAHOO.COM

Oh yeah.. was there... in DA HOUSE... when Bobby Hull and the Jets returned to Chicago.
And where is ROSIARE PAIMENT??? The former Vancouver Canuck the junped to thew WHA during the first season.

Ralph Backstrom??

And Pat Stapleton, what did he do after coaching the Indianapolis Racers, after the WHA folded??

Can anybody help me locate the following players:

Dick Proceviat moved back to northern Ontario. I can't remember where some of the other players/coaches are, but many do keep in touch.

Hello -- sometime during the Cougars time in Chicago, I played goalie for a kids hockey team in Schaumburg that was coached by two Chicago Cougars players. I cannot remember their names -- I remember one was French Canadian and the other was definitely American. Bernie Blanchette and Don Gordon come to mind, but that's a guess, maybe Pierre Viau. Would anyone know, or if you're ex-players, remember coaching kids hockry in Schaumburg in the 70's? I seem to remember we practiced at the ice rink that was at Woodfield mall many years ago, and one other rink in the area somewhere. Just curious -- responses to slickstah@adelphia.net -- thanks.

I haven't received anything back from that address yet. I'm not even sure it is the right person or address. He was the only one listed in his hometown, so that's what I'm going on. Let me know if you still want it or if you want to wait until I get a response.

I just received back my cards that I sent to Dick Sarrazin. THey came unsigned and a note saying that I have a bad addy for him. I found an addy in the Canadian whitepages, in his hometown, that was a Richard Sarrazin, so I thought I would take a shot. It didn't work out. The address I used was: 1821 Deserrables St-Gabriel-De-Brandon, Quebec
I received signed cards back from Ralph Backstrom, but have not gotten anything back from Rosie Paiement yet. Sent to him 2 months ago in Florida.
Anyone know if Paiement is a good signer TTM?

801 Cypress Creek Rd. Fort Lauderdale, FL. 33334.
The address I sent to was: 3351 South Palm Aire dr. Apt 301

Isn't Demers the coach in Minnesota? Also, isn't/wasn't Dumas a referee or something with the NHL?

I know the original post is now 4 years old, but I was just wondering: has the book on the WHA Chicago Cougars been published? I authored the recent book on the WHA Indianapolis Racers (which had many former Cougars on their roster) -- so I'd love to see that book!

Bobby Whitlock was 23 when he entered the WHA. He previously played in the NHL with Minnesota in 1969-70 at the age of 20.
