Does anyone have a working Eldon "Pokey" Reddick address?

I don't know if he will sign through the mail. He can be a real jerk about signing
in person...I tried to get him several years ago....I tried 18 times in person...and he
always refused...One time a little girl walked up to him(She was about 5 yrs old)..his response was "I don't have to
sign if I don't want to" and got on the bus.

Wow...

Someone mentioned on Internet that Pokey refused him and it seemed like when he was on Winnipeg. I realize a lot of athletes are awful signers in person, but a journeyman goalie? Wow. Even if Pokey was on the Jets then, back in the late 80s most NHLers signed. Heck, Pokey didn't even have a mainstream card on Winnipeg. Interesting stuff.

At the time the incident happened with the little girl he was playing with the Fort
Wayne Komets..That was just completely
uncalled for. If a player doesn't want to
sign, thats fine...but there is no need to
treat a person like that..esp a child. I never saw her around again to ask for
any autographs.

I sent to pokey through the mail to his minor league team and he signed 5 of his Oilers Pro-set cards and 1 jet postcard that i sent....But when he was with the jets i gave him a photo that i took of him and he signed it upside down. Goof ball! But who knows, maybe he is good one day and in a mood another day. Maybe he gets PMS.

I have had success by mail with Pokey about 3 years ago. For what its worth, I've seen guys send little kids to get autos of players, whether it was parents or not, so Pokey may have had a lousy experience with fans at one point. Regardless, ever sig is a favor to us...no player owes us anything.

That is very true...No player has to sign..
but at the same time there is no need
to cuss a person out for asking. I have heard Pokey(and others call people
all kinds of names..which I wont repeat
here.) I realize some people use children for graphs..but still, just say no if you don't want to sign. There is no need to
cuss a person out or whine like a baby.
