Anyone heard any news about the WHA?
Anyone think it will work?
Anyone want to see it work?

I know that I wake up and check the website everyday to see whats happening with the WHA but it doesn't seem to get updated that often but when it is updated, it is big news

The Halifax paper had a story about the WHA today. It was asaying that there are leases in place in: Hamilton, Quebec City, Hartford, Detroit, Dallas, and Miami, with leases in Halifax and Toronto to be signed by June 1. The buzz around here is about Sid Crosby playing back at home (presumably as the 5 mil marquee player).
I would love to see it work as long as: Ticket prices are not too expensive (I'm not paying $50 a game, that gets me to 10 Junior A games!); They don't pirate the Halifax Mooseheads; and the play isn't terrible.

WHA2 was a seperate entity from the WHA. The WHA2 was supposed to be the minor league affiliate to the new WHA, but the owners of the WHA2 scrapped that idea after one season, changed their name to the Eastern Hockey League for about 2 weeks at most, then to avoid confusion with the ECHL, changed their name again to the Southern Hockey League.
