Reg season average attendance: 5,514
Last night's semi-final game attendance: 2,630
I know it was game 5 with the series 3-1, but still...

You mean Wilkes Barre and the Hartford Wolf Pack?
Last game the series was 2-2, now its 3-2 Baby Penguins.

geez, that makes the 'Pack attendence worse! How come they don't go to playoff games? You'd expect some bandwagoning with the team in the semis.

Theyve been outplaying Wilkes Barre too. We're lucky to be up 3-2.

Hartford beat WilkesBarre 4-1 yesterday, tied 3 games to 3. It's going to be tough for the Baby Penguins to make the Calder Cup now.

It seems fairly common in the minor leagues that average playoff attendance is actually lower than in the regular season. Why? I don't know, but it's been the trend since I've been following pro hockey since I was a kid. Doesn't seem like the fans pack into see the playoff games until the finals come around, then attendance is usually pretty good again, given the teams already have a fan base.
