John Kerry, a hockey player?

I have seen John Kerry's ad on TV several times now. It clames he was a hockey player. Wanting to know what team he played for and if he was any good, I placed his name in the data base. I got nothing. Does anyone wish to comment as to why I get nothing?

Probably because he never played at the professional level or in any of the leagues that hockeydb has records of.

I'm pretty sure he played in college (Yale seems to be the name I remember on the sweater in the pic on the commercial?)

He played for Yale. Hockeys pretty big in New England.

john kerry played for an academy high school hockey team like jeremy roenick among others. he has also played in a few charity events in new england to sponsor denis leary's (the actor) charity for fallen fire fighters. kerry's not a bad skater and also has scored some in the charity games, but then again anyone can score in a charity event. he should have been a goalie because he would have had a good nickname "stone face or the stone wall". that man is emotionless. i dont think ive ever seen him blink.

CLASS OF 64 AND ONLY MADE VARSITY AS A SENIOR ON WORST SENIOR CLASS IN ST PAUL'S HISTORY. THEY WERE 0-10-1
BUT THEY PLAYED HARVARD AND YALE JV TEAMS AND EVEN PLAYED SWISS JUNIOR TEAM AT MADISON SQUARE GARDEN A 10-0 LOSS.

FBI DIRECTOR ROBERT MUELLER WAS ON TEAM AND IN FEBRUARY Q&A AT ST PAULS WAS ASKED HOW KERRY WAS IN HOCKEY AND HE SAID HE WAS A GOOD LACROSSE PLAYER.

KERRY ONLY PLAYED FRESHMAN AND JV HOCKEY AT YALE BUT
WAS ON VARSITY SOCCER TEAM AND HAD 3 GOALS AGAINST HARVARD.
