RE: Dale McCourt
I wanted to let you know we had him in for his first autograph show back in April 13, 2008 back in Redford, MI. He was leery about doing the show, but thought he would try it based on a recommendation. He loved doing the show, but he was very clear he would not do another signing.
Now sending things to him for autographs, I will tell you this... I would not send items to him. The players have told us some stories that would make me a little nervous including stories coming from Dale. The decision is totally up to you.
Regardless, Dale was great. We have autograph pucks and photos from him that we sell (we used to be on Ebay, but not now due to high seller fees). When we sell our items, we also send photo(s) from the day of the show so you can see that its authentic and real.
People need to start watching the autograph show databases. There are some great and obscure players come out to do shows. Some of them from having a lengthy career are coming and doing a show for the first time in their lifetime.
Just a thought.
