Definitely - some are so hit and miss - I have had no luck with some like Felix Potvin and others while I have seen many successes. You just never know.

Last night I attended Hockey Night in Barrie. Had some nice brief conversations with current and former NHLers. Steve Downie, for a kid who got some bad publicity in his career, is an outstanding young man. Chatted with him and his girlfriend last night for about 10 minutes. Only non-signer at the event was former coach, "Iron" Mike Keenan who ignored all requests and didn't speak with anyone.

I only saw Vaive before the game, he was the first to arrive and as always has tons of time for the fans. He's a good guy who made a mistake and his celebrity is blowing the situation out of proportion. If it was any of us, no one would care.

Yes Rick, it is held every year. Gartner plays every year in the event, he is a very nice man and takes time to sign nicely. You should make the drive up next year and get your book done.
