    [flames34] Many Happy Returns

Just getting back into sending requests, here's a thread for my returns...

Three successes today, my first in much too long:

    Johnny Bower - 3/3 - 10 Days
    Gary Bromley - 4/4 - 10 Days
    Henri Richard - 6/3 - 10 Days

    and

    Doug Favell - 0/3 - 10 Days
*Note on my letter requesting $5 per autograph due to misuse.

I'll resend with $5 to Mr. Favell at some point. I also got a certified Roman Turek autograph card today. I bought it because he's in a Flames uniform which looks great in my Flames goaltender collection.

Thanks Mr. Bower, Mr. Bromley and Mr. Richard- made my day. :)

    Custom Card

I should also add one of the cards Gary Bromley signed for me was a custom card I made. It was nice to see something I put a bit of effort into come back signed- looks perfect and couldn't be happier with it.

What exactly does Mr. Favell mean by "misuse"?
Is this meaning these people who send multiples of 3 or 5 or more items to him?
9 times out of 10 I'm just sending one card unless it is a player I also need for my 91-92 Score set then it's two cards.
I need no more and just don't want to look greedy.
I'm sure lots of us one the forum are that way.

I doubt it's the amount, it's more likely what's done with them- such as eBay, etc. It's his way of ensuring only people who actually want an autograph from him get one. I've got nothing against it but I'm thankful the majority do not charge. Between cards, envelopes, paper and postage this can already be an expensive hobby.

Edit: Noticed you said multiples of the same item. I could easily see that being refused from anyone. I have no experience with that though, all the cards I send are different, so I can't really speak to it.

    Doug Favell

Well I think he like alot of players are now openly wondering why someone needs multiples.Because one in there mind should be enough.Ive generally sent one or two.But some send 5 or 6 if not more.I think I would question such an amount if i were signing.Actually I think if they asked for money and sent back cards I would send the five bucks if I really wanted the player.

I only ever send 1, rarely 2. I always figure I have a better chance of getting it back then if I send 4. Besides, what would I do with 4? I have no problem spending a little money or paying a fee. Once I get them once, I won't try again. Like it's been said though, people who have 6 or 7 requests, I would wonder too
