    Whatever happened to the Avco Cup?

    After the Jets won the last Avco Cup it suddenly dissapeared. It was in the Winnipeg Arena and I've heard rumors that Barry Shenkarow (A.K.A the worst owner the NHL has ever seen) is keeping it locked up somewhere.

    I remember seeing it in the Hall of Fame in Toronto about 15 years ago when it was still at the Exposition grounds. I would assume they still have posession of it. The owner of the Springfield Kings still has the Walmar Cup from the old CHL locked up in his office and wouldn't allow it to be brought to a reunion in Danville last year.

    Yeah the Avco cup is at the Hockey Hall Of Fame.

    There is also an Avco Cup at the Nova Scotia Sports HOF (Halifax). There is a story that it is the real one, others say it is the one in Toronto. Either way, it is a neat trophy
