Since coaching records are not usually released in post-season statistical packages, coaching data is very difficult to compile. Although some guides publish coaching information for the upcoming season, coaches are often changed at the last minute, and these lists don't reflect coaching changes made mid-season.

As a result of this, some of the coaching data presented here may not be accurate. Mid-season replacements will not usually be credited, and a coach may get credit for coaching an entire season even though he was dismissed mid-season. Also, if a coach was a mid-season replacement, he may not get credited for the season for the same reason.

Additionally, assistant coach information is even scarcer. Most guides only list head coaches. It is very possible that an assistant coach of a team will not be credited here.

Finally, information about scouts, general managers, and other team-related positions are not included. This section is only for coaches, and should not be viewed as a person's resume. Please use this information only for your own enjoyment; it should not by any means be used to verify someone's employment.

If you have information to add about a particular coach, it is important that you send documentation for the data in order to guarantee the accuracy of the information. A photocopy or scan of a newspaper article, team/league guide, or game program will suffice. A simple e-mail will not serve as proof.

Coaching percentage is calculated as follows:

Pct. = ([2 * Wins] + Ties) / [2 * (Wins + Losses + Ties + OTL)]
