- The team folded Dec 28 1975, but was resurrected in early 1976 before folding for good on Feb 18 1976.
- The team had been doing well at both the box office and on the ice before folding, its problems were mainly due to its financial entanglement with the Cape Cod Coliseum
- After it folded the first time, the team lost its head coach, its affiliations with WHA teams, and many of its players. A shell of its former self, it lost most of its remaining games before folding for good.
